In the hunt...
Tottenham have entered the race to sign midfielder Nicolas Gaitan from Benfica, according to O Jogo.
The Portuguese newspaper have reported Spurs scouts have watched the 26-year-old Argentina international, who has also been linked with Manchester United and Valencia in this transfer window.
Gaitan has a release clause of £27m.
Joining Gaitain at White Hart Lane this month could be the Colombian striker Carlos Bacca. The 28-year-old, who plays for Sevilla, is close to securing a move to Spurs, according various news outlets this morning. He has won 15 caps for Colombia.
Leaving the Lane?
Paulinho, who has been on the periphery of the Spurs team this season has edged nearer to a move to Juventus. Reports in Italy claim fellow Serie A side AC Milan are also interested in the 26-year-old, but Juve are believed to have won the race.
