Jose Mourinho labels Harry Kane Tottenham's 'special one'

Tottenham Hotspur finished the season strongly enough to secure themselves a Europa League spot for 2020/21.

Jose Mourinho has been confident recently that his side was showing top-four form, and so will expect to push on toward that level in the Premier League next season.

To do so, though, he will still look to improve the squad in the transfer market, bringing in a few players who suit his style and offloading one or two others.

It remains to be seen the level of spending that Spurs are happy to indulge in, after a big outlay a year ago.

Here are all the latest Spurs transfer rumours regarding possible ins and outs.

First up is Juan Foyth, with the out-of-favour defender almost certain to leave Tottenham Stadium. The Argentinian is keen to stay in Europe, though, despite reported interest from Boca Juniors. The 22-year-old told TyCSports in his homeland that his agent hadn’t told him anything of the Boca rumours and that he was sure Spurs would look to either sell or loan him to a club in Europe.

Midfielder Tanguy Ndombele could also be on the way out, despite only signing as a club-record arrival one year ago. Italian outlet Calciomercato report that Antonio Conte is unhappy with Marcelo Brozovic in the centre of the park for Inter Milan, and sees Ndombele as the “ideal profile” that he wants for next season.

On the incoming front, Spurs are looking at Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi, according to Turkish newspaper Sabah (as pictured in Sport Witness). A €20 million bid should be enough to sign the 26-year-old, with Lazio and Napoli, as well as newly promoted West Brom, all keen to rival Tottenham in luring him to a top-five league.

In terms of bigger names, Philippe Coutinho is still being linked with Spurs by Spanish media. Sport report the Brazilian’s agent Kia Joorabchian confirming that Coutinho is looking for a Premier League move, but say interested clubs will need to pay €20 million for the loan, plus €10m for the playmaker’s wages. Leicester and Arsenal are also possibilities, though Coutinho himself is holding out hope of Liverpool reviving some interest.

Finally, Oliver Skipp has signed a new long-term deal with Spurs, but may head out on loan next season to earn regular game time. Nottingham Forest, Southampton, Burnley and Reading all have interest, though Fulham are favourites at present – if they win promotion to the top flight, says the Evening Standard.
