Werder Bremen midfielder Mesut Ozil looks set to snub Premier League interest after declaring his intention to play for Real Madrid.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City have all been linked with moves for Germany's World Cup star this summer.

However, Real Madrid seem set to win the race to sign the 21-year-old playmaker after he declared an interest in joining the Spanish giants.

Ozil recently turned down a new contract offer from Werder and has now set his sights on Madrid.

"When you have such an opportunity like this, then you want to take it," he said following Bremen's 4-0 German Cup victory over Ahlen on Saturday.

"It is any footballer's dream to play for the biggest teams in Europe."
