As you will have read by now, and as you may have long suspected, Mario Balotelli has no future at Liverpool.

“He’s not at the stage of his career where he should be battling with four or five other players for one or two positions,” said a very diplomatic Jürgen Klopp.

Meanwhile, Jonas Hector will cost Liverpool £25million if his long-mooted move to Anfield finally happens, claim Bild.

The Koln full-back and Germany international’s impressive displays at this summer’s European Championships have seen his value rise, with Tottenham Hotspur also in the hunt.

However, according to Sport, Barcelona will beat both Premier League clubs to securing the 26-year-old’s signature.

Lucas Moura is one of the more fanciful names linked with Anfield this summer.

The Brazil international has now insisted he is happy at Paris Saint-Germain, telling L’Equipe: "I have always said that I want to stay, I want to write my history here. If the club want to keep me, I stay."

Back to outgoings, Martin Skrtel has landed in Istanbul ahead of the completion of his £5.5million move to Fernerbahce.

The 31-year-old is expected to end his eight-year association with Liverpool on Wednesday.

Christian Benteke’s escape out of Anfield, meanwhile, may have hit the bricks.

Both Crystal Palace and West Ham United are reluctant to shell out £32.5million on the striker, according to the Daily Mail.
