One joker has put 'Europe's most valuable young player' on the online auction site

Liverpool midfielder Raheem Sterling is up for sale for £50m…on eBay.

Relations between Sterling and Liverpool are at an all-time low after the midfielder asked to be left out of the pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia, only for Liverpool to include him in the 30-man squad that will fly out to Thailand on Sunday.

The England international wants to leave the club with Manchester City showing interest in the 20-year-old, and two bids have already been rejected for Sterling with a third expected this weekend.

However, one joker has decided to cash in on a Sterling sale and has put the wantaway midfielder up on popular auction site eBay for £50m.

If that wasn’t enough, the description is even better.

"You are bidding for Raheem Sterling: Europe's most valuable young player,” it reads.

"With 7 goals and 8 assists in 3,045 minutes, Raheem is one of the most clinical and productive young players in Europe.

“He boasts a 48.2% dribbling completion rate, a wonderful attitude towards the game and several laughing gas canisters to help socialise with his new team­mates."

Sterling caused a massive controversy for the club when he gave an unsanctioned interview to the BBC earlier this year, in which he revealed that he had rejected a new £100,000-a-week contract and claimed his attempts to leave were not due to money.

Of course, this has also been worked into the description.

In the section titles ‘Things you should know about Raheem’, it says: “It's not about how many cars he's going to drive or houses he's got.

"He's not a money­-grabbing 20­-year­-old.

"It's not about money.

"It's never been about money at all."
