Joao Virginia: Manchester United on the verge of signing 15-year-old Benfica goalkeeper

Manchester United are close to signing talented teenage goalkeeper Joao Virginia, according to reports in Portugal.

Virginia (pictured above, via his Twitter page) is aged just 15 and spent time at the club's Carrington training ground last summer.

The teenager, first choice for Benfica's youth team, is believed to have impressed coaches during his stint.

Portuguese newspaper O Jogo have reported that a deal has been agreed in principal with Virginia expected to arrive at the club soon.
