The Uruguay international has been linked with a summer move to Old Trafford as Louis van Gaal looks to bolster his attack.
With Radamel Falcao failing to impress during his loan spell from Monaco, a new arrival is expected this summer. PSV Eindhoven youngster Memphis Depay is understood to be among those interesting Van Gaal, but in terms of a more seasoned option, Cavani has been the most consistently linked.
However, PSG have indicated that they want to retain the 28-year-old who this season has scored 20 goals in 45 appearances for club and country.
"I have not held talks with Cavani over his future. He is a young player and is the future of PSG," the club's president Nasser Al Khelaifi told Le Parisien.
"A €50m (£36m) offer from Manchester United? I would not even look at such a bid.
"Edinson needs a bit more confidence, but his last game against Lille, in which he scored twice, was further proof of his talent."
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has also been linked with a summer exit from the Parc de Princes, although Al Khelaifi was just as adamant that the Swede would be staying put.
"Ibrahimovic will still be with PSG next season. There is no doubt about that.
"I don't know what he wants after 2016, but we will discuss that at some point. I would like him to stay at PSG in whatever role suits him. We want to keep our star player here."
