Chelsea are looking to bring in two strikers in January as Jose Mourinho considers selling faltering star Diego Costa, according to reports.

The Spanish striker has scored just two goals in the Premier League this season, with the Blues struggling down in 16th position after picking up just 11 points from their first 12 matches.

According to the Daily Mirror, Mourinho even considered selling Costa over the summer, after the striker struggled in the second half of last season, but decided to keep him after a suitable replacement could not be found.

Costa, 27, is also a popular member among other first-team players.

Both Real Madrid and former club Atletico were linked with a move for Costa over the summer.

Gonzalo Higuain, Antoine Griezmann and Alexandre Lacazette are the familiar faces named by the Mirror as potential replacements
