Chelsea transfer news: Eden Hazard made the right decision not to join Real Madrid, says Thorgan
Hazard will enter the final year of his Chelsea contract next summer and is reportedly torn between signing a new deal or joining Madrid
Eden Hazard has made the right decision to remain at Chelsea instead of joining a Real Madrid side “in transition”, his brother, Thorgan, has said.
Hazard will enter the final year of his Chelsea contract next summer and is reportedly torn between signing a new deal or joining Madrid.
“I know him and he's not thinking about a move right now,” said Thorgan, who is currently on international duty with his brother.
“In any case Real Madrid are in transition.
“He'll wait and give his best, then see what happens at the end of the season.
“He doesn't want to clash with Chelsea. If he does go one day he'll do it in the correct way, without problems for the club.”
Meanwhile, another Hazard brother – Kylian – has bene impressing on loan at Cercle Brugge from Chelsea, and Thorgan has said he hopes to see the 23-year-old in the Belgium squad very soon.
“We are waiting for him with open arms,” said Thorgan.
“We don't want to put pressure on him. He's playing well for his club so you never know.
“If someone had told me five years ago I would be playing in the World Cup I wouldn't have believed them. I hope it will be the same for Kylian.”
