AC Milan are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.

The 32-year-old Serbian has endured a torrid campaign at Stamford Bridge this year after helping the Blues to the Premier League title last season.

Ivanovic has started all of the matches under new boss Guus Hiddink but turns 32 next month with six months left on his contract. According to the Daily Mirror, the San Siro could present an escape route from the capital.

With the Serie A title a distant possibility for the Rossoneri, the Italian giants are keen to push on quickly with a bid this month.

City rivals Inter have been known to be interested too and, despite his irregular form for Chelsea, Ivanovic is unlikely to struggle to find new employers should Hiddink choose to let him go.
