Arsenal will need to move quickly if they want Mohamed Elneny to be available against Stoke City on Sunday.

Premier League rules state that a player most be registered by 12pm on the last working day - that's Friday.

More on Elneny here, who is delayed waiting for his visa.

We're slightly skeptical on an Italian paper linking an English club with a player in France - even if Edison Cavani did play in Serie A.

Gazzetta dello Sport report that Arsenal, and other clubs, have been given the 'green light' to make a bid for the Uruguayan.

Cavani, 28, has long been linked with a move to north London.

Also coming out of Italy, Corriere dello Sport report that Arsenal are interested in Marcelo Brozovic and Mauro Icardi.

The Croatian midfielder is currently on loan at Internazionale, who have first option to sign him, but the agent of the pair Vincenzo Morabito has claimed the Gunners are interested*.

*This is definitely genuine and not an agent's attempts to link another club in the hope of getting a better deal for his clients somewhere down the line...*

Nolito, who was linked with a move to Arsenal on Tuesday, is said to prefer a move back to Barcelona, according to Spanish newspaper Diario Sport.

The Celta Vigo forward and occasional Spanish international, has been in brilliant form this season with eight goals and five assists.

Now 29, Nolito spent three years at Barcelona from 2008-2011, but made only five appearances, playing mostly for the B team.

The Times' story on Nigerian Under-17 stars Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze has also been more widely reported today, with various other outlets picking up on the news.

The pair impressed at the U17 World Cup last year.
