From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Chelsea are now even closer to winning their first Premier League title since the 2009/10 season thanks to a 3-1 victory over Leicester.
They had to come from behind at the King Power Stadium, but goals from Didier Drogba, John Terry and Ramires secured all three points.
It was a result that moved them onto 80 points after 34 games, a lead of 13 points over Arsenal, who have played a game less.
Should Arsenal win their remaining five games they would amass 82 points - meaning Chelsea need three more - putting them a victory away from the title.
They can achieve that this coming weekend when they take on Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge. They play Alan Pardew's mid-table side at 1.30pm on Sunday, with the game being shown live on Sky Sports.
There is no chance of Chelsea being crowned earlier due to an Arsenal loss as the Gunners don't play their next game until Monday night.
