Kane is in red hot form after back-to-back hat-tricks took his goal tally in 2017 to an astonishing 56 – two more than Lionel Messi managed.
But the Englishman has been struck down with illness ahead of the game against the bottom-of-the-table club and Pochettino admitted he could miss the game but is hopeful Kane will recover in time for the first of two games in three days.
“He’s ill. He’s at home,” Pochettino said. “The doctor was there at his house. We’ll see tomorrow if he can be training here. No big issue.
“I think Harry doesn’t have a price. We want him here. I think we can talk about many things, but at the end it’s talk for talk, because it’s impossible to put a price. He’s out of the market.”
The Argentine also revealed that Mousa Dembele was a doubt for Tuesday with a hip and groin problem but Victor Wanyama, who hasn’t played since August after suffering a knee injury, could well make his long-awaited comeback.
“Maybe yes,” Pochettino said when asked about Wanyama’s potential involvement. “He was involved last game and then was out of the squad. Now we have a lot of players who can be involved. We’ll see about the decision. The good news is that he can again train and is available to be selected.”
