Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero might be nursing an injury, but he was still fit enough to put the finishing touches to his Christmas tree.

The Argentinian is out until the new year after suffering a knee ligament injury in his team's 1-0 victory over Everton earlier this month.

The Premier League top scorer was visibly emotional as he left the Etihad pitch after collecting the injury, however he was clearly in much better spirits last night as he gets into the festive spirit.

The 26-year-old shared a picture on Instagram in which he can be seen putting the final touches to a garish Christmas tree adorned with gold and red baubles, gold flowers and sparkly tinsel.

Aguero accompanied the image with the message: "Out Christmas tree is here!".

The striker will be able to make the most of the Christmas period as his injury rules him out of the entire festive fixture list. He's expected to return in around four weeks time.
