Arsenal will be without Aaron Ramsey for their critical next two games. The midfielder, who injured his ankle in the FA Cup defeat to Sunderland 10 days ago, yesterday revealed he will be missing from Saturday's trip to Liverpool as well as the Champions League last-16 confrontation at the Emirates.
Arsenal trail Milan 4-0 from the first leg and will would appear to have little hope of reaching the quarter-finals. Manager Arsène Wenger will be hoping they can replicate the form which saw them fight back from 2-0 down to win 5-2 over Tottenham on Sunday. Ramsey was missing from the north London derby, although his prolonged absence will be a concern. He aims to be fit to return against Newcastle in the Premier League on 12 March, although the game against Aston Villa two weeks later may be more realistic.
