Swansea’s tough start to the season continues on Monday night as they welcome Liverpool, managed by former manager Brendan Rodgers, to Wales for the final Premier League game of the weekend.

After defeats against Manchester United and Tottenham in the first two weeks of the season, Michael Laudrup’s side got their first three points away to West Brom before the international break, and will hope that they can be the first side to score against Liverpool this season.

Liverpool are the form side in the Premier League with a one hundred per cent record from three fixtures. If being at the top of the table wasn’t enough for Rodgers’ men, their last game in the league was a victory against the champions Manchester United.

Brendan Rodgers had a busy summer in the transfer window bringing in eight new signings including Victor Moses and Aly Cissokho on loan. But whilst Suarez continues to serve his 10-match ban and in-form striker Daniel Sturridge is still a doubt for the fixture on Monday night, the Liverpool manager will be looking for goals to come from elsewhere in his team.

Previous meetings:

Liverpool 5 (Gerrard, Coutinho, Enrique, Suarez, Sturridge) Swansea 0, Premier League, February 2013

Swansea 0 Liverpool 0, Premier League, November 2012

Liverpool 1 (Suarez) Swansea 3 (Chico, Dyer, de Guzman), Capital One Cup, October 2012

Stats:

Liverpool have won 1-0 four times in a row in the Premier League

Daniel Sturridge has scored thirteen goals in fourteen appearances for Liverpool since his £12m move in January

The last time Liverpool were top of the league table was August 2011 when Kenny Dalglish was manager

Odds:

Swansea win – 3.6

Liverpool win – 2.2

Draw –3.5
