Guus Hiddink's decision to risk winger Pedro against Southampton appears to have backfired after the Spanish winger came off injured after just six minutes.
The 28-year-old has been inspired in recent weeks, after taking a couple of months to adapt to the pace of English football.
He scored twice after being recalled to the side against Newcastle United and had started each of the next two games, showing great energy and direct running.
However, for the game against Southampton he had been a doubt because of a lingering hamstring injury.
Hiddink opted to start him anyway, despite having Oscar and Bertrand Traore on the bench and unfortunately for club and player, Pedro pulled up after just five minutes.
With crucial games against Paris Saint-Germain and Everton in the FA Cup quarter-final on the horizon, Hiddink will be hoping that the injury to one of his form players is not too serious.
Oscar replaced the Spaniard.
