Veteran striker Didier Drogba has admitted Chelsea lacked "a little bit of maturity" in the final seconds of the 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

The 36-year-old looked like he had secured the Blues a crucial three points at Old Trafford with his second-half header, his first Premier League goal since March 2012.

But Robin van Persie handed Louis van Gaal a point when he was first to react to Marouane Fellaini's saved header in the 94th minute.

"Today we had a good game. We are disappointed with the result, we are disappointed because we played good today," Drogba told ChelseaTV after the match.

"With a little more luck with the referee and a little bit more control or maturity of the last few seconds we could win the game but the desire was fantastic today.

"The team was playing very well, we came here confident and when you see the disappointment at the final whistle you can understand that we came here to win, so the desire was big and that's what we have."
