Your support makes all the difference.Manchester City have provided an injury update on Gabriel Jesus, who limped off during their goalless draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The club have confirmed that the Brazilian forward has suffered an injury to his medial collateral ligament.
Pep Guardiola predicted the forward will be out for around two months – which is a realistic estimation given the nature of the injury.
“Manchester City can confirm Gabriel Jesus suffered a medial collateral ligament injury during the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday,” a statement from the club reads.
"He will undergo further examinations in the coming days to establish the extent of his lay-off.
“We wish Gabriel a speedy recovery and we will keep you updated on his progress via the Club's official channels.”
Jesus however came out on social media in an attempt to reassure fans that he will not be out for too long, insisting that the injury was “small” and would not require surgery.
“Today I went through an image exam on my left knee that diagnosed a small medial collateral ligament injury!” he wrote on his official Instagram account.
