The home team scored either side of half time to settle any nerves in Manchester with the win meaning Liverpool's challenge was over.

Nasri opened the scoring with a neat finish before captain Kompany smashed in from close range to start the celebrations in the stands.
West ham offered relatively little in reply, much to the dismay of Liverpool fans, and City saw out a comfortable win.
