Roberto Firmino believes Liverpool have a "good chance" of beating Manchester United this weekend if they play to the levels shown in the 3-3 draw with Arsenal.

The summer signing, who scored twice in the midweek thriller at Anfield, is also keen to show more consistency after his man-of-the-match performance on Wednesday.

“I hope I can play like that against all teams, not only the big teams,” he told Liverpool's official website.

“Obviously it’s good to play well against the good teams but my aim here is to help the team by scoring goals and doing whatever I can on the pitch."

The Brazilian is looking forward to Sunday's match against Manchester United and is hopeful a better result than the 3-1 defeat at Old Trafford earlier this season can be recorded.

“Manchester United are a big team and I know how big this derby is here.

“We have to be 100 per cent focused. If we do as well as we did up front [against Arsenal] against them, we have a good chance to win on Sunday.”

The match at Anfield kicks off at 2.05pm on Sunday.
