Jamie Vardy

At this stage of the season, it makes sense to target those teams who are tanking. And even though Bournemouth picked up a point against Tottenham last time out, Eddie Howe’s side are still worthy of our attention for all the wrong reasons.

Leicester City visit the Vitality Stadium on Sunday and Vardy appears to have found some form again, scoring three in his last two games, and will be confident on maintaining that run against a side who look destined for the Championship.

Craig Dawson

The most unlikely source of points since the restart has been Watford centre-back Craig Dawson, who has two goals and 20 points from his last five games despite being stuck in a relegation battle.

While it may be unrealistic to expect a third goal between now and the end of the season, Dawson will have hopes of at least a clean sheet this weekend when Steve Bruce’s Newcastle visit Vicarage Road.

Michail Antonio

Antonio retains his place in our picks despite drawing a blank against Burnley in midweek. Deployed as a centre-forward since the restart, the 30-year-old has two goals and an assist in his last three.

He should arguably have a few more too, spurning a few chances in the defeat to the Clarets on Wednesday night. Sean Dyche’s side are a well-organised defensive outfit, though. Norwich City, less so.

Gabriel Jesus

A near-permanent figure of frustration for fantasy managers, has Jesus turned the corner? It’s too soon to say, but the way he took his goal against Newcastle on Wednesday night to end a nine-game goal drought inspires confidence.

If he has found his finishing boots again, then a meeting on the south coast with Brighton bodes well. Manchester City may have struggled on the road of late but it would be a surprise to see anything but an away win at the Amex.

Bruno Fernandes

Could we really leave him out? Fernandes is only owned by 28 per cent of managers. That may be the third-most of any midfielder but it still feels low when considering just how well he is playing.

The Portuguese has averaged 9.4 points-per-game since his arrival 10 gameweeks ago and, though he will not take United’s next penalty whenever it comes, we expect more returns against Southampton on Monday night.

Honourable mentions: Lukasz Fabianski, Ezri Konsa, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Leandro Trossard, Mason Greenwood
