Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson claims he is good enough to play as a Premier League midfielder
The 24-year-old has been a huge success in goal for City this season

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has made the incredibly bold claim that he could play in the Premier League as a midfielder.
The 24-year-old has been a huge success in goal for City since moving from Benfica for almost £35m in the summer.
His skill with the ball at his feet has been particularly impressive, with his distribution and close control particularly catching the eye.
And Ederson thinks he is a good enough footballer to cut it in the middle of the part for table topping City.
“When I played in the Benfica youth teams, they would always call me to play in midfield if someone was missing and I didn’t ever embarrass myself,” he said in an interview with FourFourTwo magazine.
“So, if necessary I’m definitely up to the task. It wouldn’t be easy, especially in the Premier League, but I think I could manage the challenge.”
Ederson also heaped praise on his City team-mates for making his life easy in goal for the league leaders.
“There are so many good players in this team who are ahead of me,” he added. “I was always comfortable with the ball at my feet, and this helps me during games. I think it's a natural talent.”
