Dele Alli scored a truly incredible goal during Tottenham's Premier League meeting with Everton.

The young England international ran on to the end of a long forward pass from the back and in one move brought the ball down on his chest and volleyed the ball under Tim Howard.

Twitter went wild with praise for the youngster, although just as many Liverpool fans took to the social media site to vent their frustration. Why? Because it's believed that Liverpool had the chance to sign Alli before he ultimately joined Spurs instead.

The former MK Dons player was keen on a switch to Anfield, having been a Reds fan all his life. But instead then manager Brendan Rodgers and the Liverpool transfer committee focused their attention elsewhere and Alli went to Tottenham for just £5m.

His goal against Everton and his performances in general this season have only highlighted what Liverpool missed out on.

Below are the reactions from some rather angry Liverpool fans and praise for Alli...

Alli's goal put Tottenham level at 1-1 with Everton.
