Former Premier League boss Sam Allardyce has written about how he used to "love beating" Arsene Wenger's Arsenal.
Allardyce had spells at Bolton, Newcastle United, Blackburn Rovers and West Ham United, before being named as Sunderland manager last week and enjoyed a decent record against the Frenchman.
Wenger has won just over half of his matches against Allardyce's teams, with 16 wins, seven draws and five defeats in 28 contests.
But there was a spell when Allardyce was in charge of Bolton that Wenger's team would always lose at the Reebok Stadium
"We’d really got to them and Arsene Wenger hated us,’ writes Allardyce in his autobiography that is being serialised by The Sun.
"There was one time he wouldn’t shake hands with me at Highbury because we got a draw. I saw him ripping his tie off and throwing it on the floor in anger.
"He takes it all very personally and has an air of arrogance. He’s not one for inviting you into his office for a drink after games.
"He’s a fantastic manager, I cannot deny that. But the more I could wind him up, the more I liked it."
