Arsenal host West Brom on Monday night as they look to build upon their encouraging draw at Chelsea two weekends ago.

Arsene Wenger will be without forward Danny Welbeck, who faces a month on the sidelines after sustaining a groin injury.

For the visitors, Nacer Chadli will undergo tests to see if he is fit to feature while Jake Livermore is back in the squad after being handed an extended rest.

What time is it?

The game kicks off at 8pm on Monday 25 September at the Emirates Stadium.

Where can I watch it?

The match will be broadcast on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event. Coverage starts at 7pm.

It’s a big game for?

Gareth Barry. It’s a big occasion for the English veteran who is set to break Ryan Giggs’ all-time Premier League appearances. If he features tonight it will be his 663rd top-flight game – one more than the Welshman’s. Barry first made his debut in 1998 and since then he’s been a permanent fixture in the Premier League for the past 19 seasons, playing 30 or more games in 18 of those campaigns. Regardless of how this evening ends, it’s a night he’s unlikely to forget.

Player to watch?

Alexis Sanchez. The man who continues to make all the headlines, Sanchez will undoubtedly be Arsenal’s best hopes of unpicking a notoriously resilient and well-drilled West Brom side. He was introduced late into the game last week at Chelsea and brought a fresh sprinkling of vibrancy and energy to Arsenal’s play. If he starts today, the hope will be that he leads the front line from the off.

KICK-OFF: Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette line up on the halfway line before the latter sends the ball allowing his strike partner to burst forward. It's an immediate sign of attacking intent from the hosts, which perhaps would have looked more impressive if their teammates hadn't miscontrolled the ball at the back before sending it out of the play on the far touchline.

4 mins: Lacazette and Sanchez don't just do kick-offs. The forwards partner up again with some lovely link up play on the left that sees the Frenchman chest into the path of the number seven, making his 150th appearance in an Arsenal shirt. Sanchez does brilliantly to waltz past one defender before going to ground under the slightest contact from Craig Dawson.

Referee Bobby Madley awards the free-kick which Sanchez himself whips the wrong side of Ben Foster's far post.

8 min: Drama! Aaron Ramsey loses possession deep in the West Brom half and the visitors break in a flash. A long ball down the left has Jay Rodriguez up against Shkodran Mustafi. The former Southampton forward checks back inside once in the area, only to be caught the Arsenal defender as he slips. It's a definite penalty but Bobby Madley fails to whistle, and so Rodriguez picks himself and curls towards the far post. At full strength, Petr Cech gets fingertips to the ball and touches the shot on to the woodwork, Following in, Jake Livermore sidefoots wide. There will be much there for Albion to moan about.

12 mins: Kieran Gibbs has spent all week dreaming of this moment. Bursting in off the left touchline, the left-back takes a bouncing ball full on the chest and sizes up a 25-yard volley against his former club. In those dreams, it rockets into the top corner. In reality, it's halfway down the Holloway Road.

And they all look the same.

20 mins: GOAL! ARSENAL 1 WEST BROM 0:

Arsenal have the lead! Albion had been warned when Alexis Sanchez curled that early free-kick wide, but didn't learn their lesson with Jonny Evans fouling Mohamed Elneny five yards outside the box. If Tony Pulis was annoyed by the decision, he was furious moments later as Sanchez whipped a set-piece over the West Brom wall for the second time. Ben Foster did well to help the shot onto the crossbar, but following in was Alexandre Lacazette, and he had the simplest task in heading into the empty net.

23 mins: The three at the back/five-man defence that Tony Pulis deployed this evening has been bridged within the first quarter of the game, and you now feel it could be a long night for this experimental West Brom side. Both Ramsey and Sanchez are on the chase again as the home side threaten a quickfire second. How different it could have been if the Baggies had been awarded that early spotkick.

27 mins: Mild shouts for a spotkick at the other end now as Nacho Monreal exchanges passes with Sanchez and goes meandering into the box. The Spanish defender was never in full control, but is impeded in his attempts to put that right by the arm of Allan Nyom. When compared to Mustafi's challenge on Rodriguez earlier, it's somewhere in the Erland Johnsen region of dubious penalty claims.

35 mins: Albion are still at it - and by it, I mean conceding needless free-kicks just outside their own box. Jonny Evans is the culprit once again, bringing down Lacazette. This time it's enough for the Northern Irish defender to go into Bobby Madley's book, but at least he is spared the ignominy of seeing Arsenal score a second. Sanchez takes aim again but this time his shot is off target.

38 mins: Brilliant clearance from Monreal! The Arsenal defender has just denied West Brom a certain equaliser with an acrobatic intervention from underneath his own crossbar! Rodriguez can't believe his luck; denied a penalty by the referee and then a goal by Cech's fingertips, he must have thought he had scored when meeting Grzegorz Krychowiak's left-wing cross. The forward's downward header on the run looked perfect, beating the stranded Cech, but Monreal appeared from nowhere to clear spectacularly and preserve Arsenal's lead.
