Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will be without Aaron Ramsey for at least a month after the Welsh midfielder injured him hamstring in the north London derby.

Ramsey underwent scans on the injury, sustained during the 1-1 draw with rivals Tottenham on Saturday, which revealed the extent of the damage.

The influential midfielder missed the second half of last season after injuring his thigh against West Ham on Boxing Day and Arsenal are likely to take his recovery slowly - that thigh injury was only meant to keep Ramsey out for a matter of weeks but he ended up missing three crucial months of the season.

Ramsey started this season with three goals in his first four matches but has struggled to fire in recent weeks and has failed to score in his last five Arsenal games.

The 23-year-old was one of three midfielders injured against Tottenham on Saturday, Mikel Arteta is expected to be out for three weeks but Jack Wilshere could play a part against Galatasaray on Wednesday.
