Speaking in South Africa, where Spain are playing in the Confederations Cup, the midfielder also labelled Manchester United a one-man team who would struggle without Cristiano Ronaldo and urged the Arsenal manager, Arsène Wenger, to sign Barcelona midfielder Yaya Touré.
Fabregas first repeated his desire to stay at Arsenal, saying: "I am happy at Arsenal and I want to win titles there." But when asked about his schoolboy hero Guardiola, he told El Mundo Deportivo: "If Guardiola called me it would be different. I would be delighted to go. Pep was a role model for me. He was my footballing hero when I was small.".
