This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

David Ginola intends to sue his former France coach, Gérard Houllier. The veteran manager allegedly criticises Ginola in a new book, Coaches' Secrets.

"David is absolutely incensed," said a spokesman for Ginola. "Houllier should stop talking like this. Stop singling David out."

Houllier has attributed France's failure to reach the 1994 World Cup to Ginola, who conceded possession before Bulgaria's winner in the decisive qualifier, in the past.
