Guardiola previews Brighton FA Cup semi-final

Follow all the live action as Manchester City take on Brighton this afternoon in the semi-final of the FA Cup.

Pep Guardiola‘s men remain on course for an historic quadruple, with the side already having lifted the League Cup earlier this year.

But Chris Hughton, who was part of the Tottenham side that beat City and lifted the FA Cup in 1981, will be hoping for a repeat of history today when his men go up against the competition favourites. Follow the live action below:

Two serious injuries have hampered his season, something the player admitted ahead of today's game, but if Manchester City do require a final boost down the stretch, having the brilliant Belgian back amongst things in fine fettle might be just the tonic:

Indeed there are plenty of Brighton fans enthusiastically roaring their side on as the warm-ups are completed, tinfoil cups, seagull hats, waving flags, all the trimmings for a day out at the home of English football.

The Manchester City fans shown seem a little more withheld. Their side have already lifted one trophy here this season, while Brighton have never won at Wembley.

Sergio Aguero is not in the squad this afternoon but the Argentine is at Wembley, lurking around the corner from the Manchester City bench as his manager watches on. He's dressed in a tracksuit, perhaps suggesting he was close to some form of involvement today.
