Brazil poster boy Neymar incredibly missed an open goal from just three yards last night.

The Barcelona star looked odds on to score when a ball was crossed in low from the right but Neymar, under minimal pressure, somehow slammed his shot against the bar.

The ball cannoned back to the striker but he was unable to control and it fell into the arms of goalkeeper Anlexander Dominguez.

Chelsea winger Willian scored the only goal of the game, finishing off an absolutely beautiful free-kick move that included an inch-perfect pass from Neymar.

The 22-year-old is expected to start his first Barcelona match of the season against Athletic Bilbao this weekend.

The winger missed the first game against Elche and came on as a substitute against Vilarreal.
