As well as providing a month-long jamboree of top-class football second only to the World Cup, the European Championship also provides a platform for the cream of the continent to showcase their talents, to win new admirers, to win over prospective buyers, to earn that multi-million pound contract.

As supporters and countries are experiencing the highs and lows of the tournament in France over the next five weeks, coaches and managers will be weighing up players that may improve their squad ahead of the start of the new season in August.
