Roy Hodgson deciding against selecting in-form Tottenham striker Harry Kane for his England debut,

Kane, 21, may have 29 goals in all competitions this season, more than any other English striker, but Hodgson has elected to stick with Danny Welbeck, who has performed well for the Three Lions so far in Group E qualifiying.

Hodgson has made four changes since England last played against Slovenia, with Phil Jones starting instead of Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines back in place of Kieran Gibbs and Michael Carrick in place of the injured Kyle Walker.

Hodgson has stuck with the 4-4-2 diamond formation that has served him in recent matches - England have won four out of four so far in qualifying.

Along with Kane, fellow potential debutant Ryan Mason will begin the match on the bench.
