Jadon Sancho scores cheeky Panenka penalty in England training

England manager Gareth Southgate and his assistant, Steve Holland, attended Saturday’s top-of-the-table Bundesliga clash between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena to check on the progress of wonderkid Jadon Sancho.

Southgate was among the VIPs in attendance at Der Klassiker, Germany’s biggest rivalry, as Bayern put themselves in the driving seat for another league title by thumping Dortmund 5-0 in a surprisingly one-sided affair.

Sancho had a quiet game as Dortmund, who have led the league nearly all season, struggled to cope against a Bayern team that dominated them from the first minute.

The former Manchester City winger had little impact as Bayern racked up four first-half goals to all but end the game as a contest.

Bayern added a last-minute fifth to add some gloss to an already impressive victory that sees them leapfrog Dortmund into first.

The defending champions have a one-point cushion but face third-placed RB Leipzig and fourth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt in their final two games of the season.
