Former England defender Sol Campbell is in talks with League Two side Notts County over a proposed move.

Campbell's contract at Portsmouth expired over the summer, making him a free agent, and he could now make a switch to the Nottingham based club.

The 34-year-old has been seen at Meadow Lane, and is reportedly considering a move that would see him link up with his former England manager Sven Goran Eriksson.

It is understood that Campbell would prefer to play in a higher division, but could be tempted by the project at Notts County, who currently sit at the top of the table.
