The Premier League leaders qualified for the EFL Cup final in midweek with victory over Cardiff’s rivals Bristol City.
Cardiff are hoping this meeting with City will happen at least twice more in the next 18 months as they are chasing promotion to the Premier League having made a fine fight of it in the opening half of the season.
