The first leg of this EFL Cup semi-final saw Bristol City give Manchester City one of the biggest frights of their relatively serene season.

Lee Johnson's team still lost 2-1, we shouldn't forget, but they showed enough to suggest there will be no easy ride for Manchester City into the final of the competition.

Pep Guardiola will continue with a slightly rotated team while Johnson will not be holding anything back at Ashton Gate. If the home side can resist conceding an early goal, it could just develop into a memorable night.

64' - Bristol City's Marlon Pack rises highest to head home from Jamie Paterson's cross! The hosts need two more to take this game to extra time!

70' - Robins defender Aden Flint almost turns the ball into his own net from Kyle Walker's low cross but goalkeeper Luke Steele is alert and makes a good save down low to his right.

77' - Marlon Pack's goal has invigorated the hosts but it still looks like a massively tall order for them to take this game into extra time. They've not really created any real chances of note since the goal either.

84' - It's got to be said that City are managing this game really well now. They're just stroking the ball around the field and running the clock down. The hosts' hopes of taking this one to extra time are fading very quickly.

Not the most flattering picture you'll see of Famara Diedhiou or Fernandinho

89' - Danilo, who has just replaced Kyle Walker for City, comes agonisingly close to extending the visitors' lead but his angled shot across goal bounces just wide of Luke Steele's far post!
