Video footage appeared to show significant damage had been done to his trousers, however it was not entirely conclusive.
Footage from two angles attempted to clear up the matter, with one showing some material hanging down between the Frenchman's legs and another seemingly showing some frayed material. However, his overcoat obscured the view.

Whilst it would seem a rather bizarre thing to happen to Zidane's trousers, even stranger is it happened earlier this month.
The World Cup winner badly tore his lower garments when watching Real Madrid's Champions League quarter-final second leg with Wolfsburg.
During that match he watched Cristiano Ronaldo score a hat-trick to send his team through 3-2 on aggregate.
Tuesday night's match at the Etihad was a much more dour affair, with Ronaldo consigned to the sidelines with a thigh strain. The game ended 0-0.
