From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

His team might be top of the league, but not everything has been going according to plan for Marseille manager Marcelo Bielsa.

During his side's Ligue 1 match against Toulouse, the Argentinian tactician saw his team win 2-0.

It was their eighth win of the season and a result that sees them sitting pretty at the top of Ligue 1, seven points ahead of mega-rich Paris St Germain despite the capital club remaining undefeated this season.

Yet during the win, Bielsa unleashed his fury at his coaching staff after unwittingly sitting on a hot cup of coffee.

One of Bielsa's team is pictured placing the cup on top of an ice-box on the touchline. Moments later, the Marseille manager takes a seat upon it, and the coffee.

It must have only taken seconds for the warm beverage to seep through his tracksuit bottoms as the 59-year-old leaps up before scolding his bench and kicking the cup in anger.

Marseille play PSG early next month.
