Terry confident of ending Mourinho dream

Captain John Terry is convinced Chelsea can end Jose Mourinho's bid for Champions League glory when the former Blues boss makes returns to Stamford Bridge next week.

Mourinho's Inter will arrive in London on Monday holding a 2-1 advantage from the first-leg of their last-16 tie at the San Siro.

It will be the first return to Stamford Bridge for Mourinho since September 2007, when he departed after leading the club to every domestic honour including successive Barclays Premier League triumphs in 2005 and 2006.

Terry, who scored in the FA Cup victory over Stoke last weekend, is confident Chelsea can overcome Inter's slender lead and reach the last eight of the tournament at the expense of the 'Special One'.

Terry said: "Returning to Stamford Bridge with a one-goal deficit and an away goal against the Italian champions is a starting point most sides would take and this side believes we can turn it around.

"We are going for three trophies right now and every game is crucial. Only winning will do."

Chelsea's desire to put one over on their own boss is spearheaded by 25-goal Didier Drogba.

The Ivory Coast striker insists the hunger to win more medals is driving him on as Chelsea continue to fight for glory on three fronts.

Drogba claims he is reaping the rewards from taking a few months out of action to deal with a long-standing knee problem last season, having scored 36 goals in 52 games since interim coach Guus Hiddink restored him to the first team last February.

"I still have the same passion for the game," said Drogba.

"I still feel hungry and I am still chasing medals.

"I feel really good. As I have said in the past it depends on the injuries you get and this season I can say that I am lucky, or I can say that the few months that I took out last year to get my knee well are now paying off."

In a season dominated by off-the-field headlines involving captain John Terry and left-back Ashley Cole, Drogba's leadership inside the dressing room has come to the fore even more.

"There are different kinds of leadership and maybe I do speak when I feel it is important to," said Drogba.

"When you speak, after that you have to go out on the pitch and show and prove it.

"That is how people respect you and I think that is how you become a leader.

"When I feel it I do it but the good thing is I am not the only one.

"John Terry or Frank Lampard or Michael Ballack, or other players, we are really going in the same direction."

Drogba has won every domestic medal with Chelsea but he still wants to be a European winner.

"I think all players dream about it and there are no reasons why it shouldn't happen," he added.
