Liverpool’s Europa League campaign was kick-started on Thursday night with a narrow but important away victory against Rubin Kazan.

The Merseyside club had drawn all three of their previous games in Group B but, thanks to Jordon Ibe’s second-half strike, became the first English side to win at the Kazan Arena.

Jurgen Klopp could barely contain his delight at full-time, especially with his 19-year-old goalscorer.

Television cameras managed to capture the newly-appointed Liverpool boss congratulating Ibe with a pet name moments after the final whistle.

Klopp's little “Ibeeeeee” shriek of joy went down very well with the club's supporters on social media, who are quickly growing to love their charismatic coach.

'I-bee' is how the youngster's surname would typically be pronounced in Nigeria, the country of his father's birth. Ibe, however, pronounces his name 'eye-bh', as he clarified for Liverpool supporters last year.

Liverpool now sit second in their group, two points behind leaders FC Sion. They face third-placed Bordeaux at Anfield next on 26 November, knowing that a win against the French side will see them safely through to competition’s knock-out stage.
