Neymar and Juan Bernat scored as PSG defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in Paris to progress to the Champions League quarter-finals 3-2 on aggregate.

Dortmund won the first leg in Germany but PSG made a fine start to this match, which was played behind closed doors, and they took the lead just before the half hour mark.

Neymar headed past Roman Bürki from close range with a goal that put the French side ahead on away goals.

But they then took the lead outright in first-half injury time, when Bernat doubled their lead on the night.

Dortmund threw bodies forward in the second-half but PSG’s defence held firm to ensure they progressed to the last eight. Here are our player ratings.

Paris Saint-Germain

Keylor Navas – 7 out of 10

Relatively solid and made some good stops, although suspect under the high ball.

Thilo Kehrer – 7

Got forward regularly and hardly misplaced a pass.

Marquinhos – 7

A fine game for the 25-year-old Brazil international.

Presnel Kimpembe – 8

So solid in the air. Dominated Erling Braut Håland throughout. One of his finest performances of the season.

Juan Bernat – 8

One of PSG’s best players. Solid in defence, a threat going forward and scored his team’s second goal.

Idrissa Gueye – 7

Busy throughout and made more successful tackles than any other player.

Leandro Paredes – 7

A good game in the middle of the park even if his teammates caught the eye more.

Ángel Di María – 8

MAN OF THE MATCH. Neymar will get the headlines but, once again, Di María was irresistible. Assisted one goal and went close to scoring one of his own with a wicked curling free-kick.

Neymar – 8

Kept dropping deep in search of the ball and was at the heart of everything PSG did well. Opened the scoring with a fine header.

Edinson Cavani – 6

Not his finest match. Some clumsy touches let him down and only managed one shot on target.

Pablo Sarabia – 6

Worked hard but largely anonymous. Replaced by Kylian Mbappé early into the second-half.

Borussia Dortmund

Roman Bürki – 6

Not especially to blame for either goal. Good flying save to deny Ángel Di María in the second-half.

Łukasz Piszczek – 6

Kept too busy in his own half to get forward as much as he would have liked.

Mats Hummels – 6

Made an impressive four clearances but shown up for pace on a couple of occasions.

Dan-Axel Zagadou – 6

Struggled against Neymar’s incisive runs from deep.

Achraf Hakimi – 7

Waltzed forwards regularly and made more tackles than any of his team-mates. But did lose Neymar for PSG’s opening goal.

Emre Can – 6

Struggled in midfield. And his long-range shooting was off, too.

Axel Witsel – 6

Like Emre Can, struggled to get to grips with the game in the middle of the pitch.

Raphaël Guerreiro – 6

Some nice passing but kept quiet.

Thorgan Hazard – 5

An anonymous performance. Two poor shots and kept on the fringes throughout.

Erling Braut Håland – 6

So much is expected of the teenager but this was not one of his better performances. Dominated by Presnel Kimpembe.

Jadon Sancho – 7

Lively throughout. Buzzed around menacingly and had two decent shots well saved by Keylor Navas.
