Thursday night’s 4-3 win over Borussia Dortmund will be remembered alongside Saint Etienne 1977 and Olympiakos 2004 as one of the most dramatic evenings ever witnessed at Anfield.
Dejan Lovren’s stoppage-time winner completed an incredible turnaround, as Liverpool scored three goals in the space of 24 minutes to progress to the Europa League semi-finals.
The Merseyside club are now just two games away from May's final in Basel, knowing that the winners of European’s football second-tier tournament will automatically qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Klopp, however, downplayed talk of a return to Europe's top table in full and frank terms during his post-match interview and momentarily forgot that he should not swear live on television.
“Please, please don't ask me this s***", he told BT Sport’s reporter. “It’s so hard, I don’t know, I know nothing about the other results.
“Maybe all the Spanish teams are unbelievably strong. I could never understand why people said whoever wins this game wins the trophy but we can say we have time in the middle of May.”

La Liga’s Sevilla and Villarreal, as well as Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, progressed to the last four of the tournament.
Klopp also stressed that credit for the comeback should go to his players rather than him, as Thomas Tuchel’s Dortmund had sussed his gameplan in the early stages.
“My role is not too important in this moment. We had a good plan in the first half but conceded two goals, so you can throw your plan in the purple bin,” he said, in reference to Liverpool City Council’s famous purple wheelie bins.
