Coronavirus: PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, Marco Verratti and Marquinhos share tips for preventing spread of disease
French champions’ forward Mbappe tested negative for the virus after feeling ill earlier this month
Paris Saint-Germain have released a video containing advice for preventing the spread of coronavirus.
The outbreak of the disease has led to the suspension of France’s Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, as well as almost all sporting competitions and events around Europe and other parts of the world.
The video released by PSG features France forward Kylian Mbappe, midfielder Marco Verratti and defender Marquinhos offering tips for the prevention of spreading Covid-19.
“Wash your hands regularly, blow your nose with a single-use tissue and throw it in the trash, cough or sneeze into your elbow,” the PSG players advise.
“If you are sick, stay at home. Say hello from a distance. Take care of yourself and your loved ones.”
Mbappe missed training earlier this month as a result of the 21-year-old feeling ill, but he tested negative for coronavirus.
He came off the bench in PSG’s 2-0 Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund in Paris on 11 March.
The second-leg victory saw the French champions progress to the quarter-finals, but Uefa have since suspended all fixtures in the competition.
An official club statement from PSG, released on Sunday, read: “All sporting activities of all our professional teams will remain suspended temporarily as of Monday 16 March, and until further notice. A further assessment of the situation will be made on 18 March.”
