From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

With Liverpool crashing out of the Champions League after the group stage, three teams are left in this year's tournament: Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.

The draw took place yesterday and Simon Rice has looked at each of the fixtures the Premier League teams will be preparing for ahead of the first leg in in February.

Having finished second in their group behind Borussia Dortmund, the Gunners could have faced the likes of Real Madrid or Bayern Munich. Fortunately for the Gunners, who are usually unlucky when it comes to European draws, they are up against French side Monaco.

Monaco are seen as one of the more weaker sides in the tournament. In recent years, they have tried to match rivals like PSG by spending big, yet over the summer they allowed Radamel Falcao to go out on loan and James Rodriguez, the star of the 2014 World Cup, was sent off to Real Madrid.

Wenger spent seven years at Monaco between 1987 and 1994, so it will be a trip down memory lane for the long-serving Gunners boss. Will it be a happy return?

First Leg: Wednesday 25 February

Second Leg: Tuesday 17 March
