Ade Akinbiyi's double strike helped Gillingham topple Second Division leaders Watford at Vicarage Road yesterday.

Akinbiyi scored his first after running through on to a pass from former Watford striker Steve Butler. And he got his second when he latched on to a ricochet from Tommy Mooney's shot to score in the last minute.

Goals: Akinbiyi (21) 0-1; Akinbiyi (90) 0-2.

Watford Chamberlain; Gibbs, Kennedy, Page, Millen, Mooney, Noel-Williams (Palmer, 45), Hyde, Lee (Thomas, 75), Johnson, Robinson. Substitute not used: Ward.
