Nicolas Anelka could escape from his "lonely London life" with a pounds 10m move to Real Madrid, according to the Mirror. The People, meanwhile, says Juventus have made an inquiry. The Mirror also says Gianluca Vialli contacted Didier Deschamps while France were in town, perhaps paving the way for a pounds 4m move for the Juventus midfielder.
The News of the World reports a pounds 4m raid planned by Blackburn for Manchester United defender John Curtis, while Charlton are keen on teaming new signing John Barnes with his former Newcastle colleague and ex-Valley favourite Rob Lee, according to the People.
