City aim to be unchanged, with Wales Under-21 midfielder Edwards continuing at full-back, but midfielder Martin (flu) is slight doubt. Millwall's Australian striker Mitchell is back from World cup duties, Rae (flu) is fit and Verveer is also in the squad after injury.
Charlton Ath v Notts Co
Charlton, following two successive league defeats, include midfielder Garland in their squad after his return from hamstring injury in midweek Anglo-Italian Cup match. Brown (gashed knee) is ruled out. Defender Walker (groin) returns for County and on- loan Goater makes his debut alongside Lund in attack, but captain Thomas (thigh) is out.
Nottm Forest v Peterborough U
Forest and Peterborough both go into the match with confidence high. Forest followed their win at Birmingham with a midweek draw at Wolves, while Peterborough go to the City Ground buoyed by their Coca-Cola Cup victory over Blackpool.
Oxford U v Derby Co
Striker Byrne and centre-back Elliott make home debuts in unchanged Oxford side. Derby will be without centre Wassall (suspended) and midfielder Pembridge, who is with Wales. Kuhl (Achilles tendon) is doubtful, and Gabbiadini (knee) is out again.
Southend U v Luton T
Centre-back Scully and attacking midfielder Ansah return from injury but striker Mooney (flu) is missing from Southend's line-up.
Tranmere R v Sunderland
Aldridge (thigh) is ready to play first full senior game for seven weeks for Tranmere. Welsh Under-21 Coyne sgand by as goalkeeper Nixon (knee) is doubtful. Mungall, Garnett and Irons also in squad. Sunderland make at least two changes, with centre- back Melville away with Wales being replaced by Bennett and Ord (hamstring) fit to replace Michael Gray. Howey may replace Phil Gray in attack.
Wolverhampton v Barnsley
Striker Kelly has been allowed to join the Republic of Ireland's squad late so he plays in an unchanged Wolves side. Midfielder Wilson (knee) has recovered and is in the Barnsley squad but striker Andy Rammell (thigh) is still ruled out with a thigh strain.

Stoke C v Leicester C
Stoke have made light of Lou Macari's departure as manager by winning three League games to move to eighth place and now have Joe Jordan at the helm. Their resolve will be tested by the visit of the leaders to the Victoria Ground. Leicester await fitness checks on striker Ormondroyd and midfield man Agnew
