Brian Laudrup, the 26-year-old Danish international attacker, of Rangers, has been named Denmark's Footballer of the Year by the national federation in Copenhagan.

The Scottish Football Association have downgraded five leading referees. George Dunbar, Graham Forrest and Jim O'Hare have been dropped from grade one to four by the SFA. That means they cannot officiate at any game at League level either as referee or linesman. Joe Kelly and Graham Tran have been demoted to grade three and will only be able to run the line at senior games.
