Loneliness of the long-distance canoeist is typified yesterday by two competitors in the Devizes to Westminster race, said to be the toughest of its kind. The 125-mile course takes senior double crews along the Kennet and Avon Canal prior to joining the River Thames at Reading. The race finishes on Monday
